The sign for Felix Chevrolet, opened in 1957 by Winslow Felix, was designated as a cultural landmark by the City of Los Angeles in 2007.Felix was friends with filmmaker Pat Sullivan, the creator of Felix the Cat, who authorized the use of the cartoon character for the dealership's sign.
